Radius Networks Partnership Enables Curbside & In-Store Pickup Orders

TORONTO – August 6, 2019 – Mercatus, a leading provider in digital commerce solutions for grocery and other retail verticals, and Radius Networks, a machine-learning platform that helps companies conduct location-based transactions with customers, today announced a partnership to help grocers and retailers offer faster, easier order pick-up for shoppers.

The Mercatus platform, enhanced with Radius Networks’ FlyBuy service, offers grocers and retailers flexibility for web and mobile communication to improve the efficiency of the fulfillment process, resulting in a better shopper and in-store associate experience.

Here’s how the technology partnership streamlines the ordering process:

  • Shoppers who place their orders on the grocer’s web or mobile storefront select pick-up at their preferred store location.
  • Store associates are notified regarding the location of the shopper when the shopper is within a certain radius of the store, allowing associates to efficiently prepare for customer pick-up.
  • Subsequent associate notifications are received when the shopper has arrived and provide insight into where the shopper is located once they are in the parking lot.
  • The pick-up order is then brought out quickly to the exact location of the customer ensuring freshness and quality.

Radius Networks joins Mercatus’ extensive third-party ecosystem. The joint solution will be powered by a backend integration between the Radius Networks’ FlyBuy service and Mercatus.

“We are thrilled to partner with Mercatus to help make the click-and-collect process extremely efficient,” said Jeff Baskin, EVP Global Partnerships, Radius Networks. “Location is a powerful way to improve the customer experience and when combined with Mercatus’ advanced, integrated commerce solution, grocers are armed with the tools they need to master customer satisfaction and provide an extremely valuable curbside and in-store experience.”

“Grocers have worked hard to build their brands over the course of many years. As they look to compete online, it’s essential they turn to partners that can help safeguard and enhance customer relationships,” said Sylvain Perrier, president and CEO, Mercatus. “Our partnership with Radius Networks allows them to do just this; we are thrilled to provide a joint solution that makes it easier for grocers to give shoppers a convenient and speedy experience.”
